Chamber choir

Chief conductor and artistic Director-honored worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, excellent student of education, Professor Gulmira Kuttybadamova

The conductor – laureate of International competition named by Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev Yerzhan Sansyzbaev

The chamber choir Of the state academic Philharmonic of Astana city akimat was founded in may 2004. His first performance was held on June 1 of the same year in the hall of the Presidential cultural center of Astana.

The artistic appearance and performance style of the Chamber choir in the first decade were formed under the direction of artistic Director Yerzhan Dautov. Numerous tours, performances on the most prestigious stages, and victories in national and international competitions have become evidence of the team's high performing culture. In the Treasury of the Chamber choir-the Grand Prix of the XXV and XXX international festivals of sacred music "haynuvka" (Poland), 2 gold cups of the world choral forum (China), the Grand Prix Of the international festival of choral art "Astana-an kanatynda" and the International festival "Zhubanov koktemi – 2012".

Since 2013, the Chamber choir in the updated composition was headed by a cultural figure, an excellent student of education, Professor Gulmira Kuttybadamova (now-honored worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan). As a pupil of the people's artist of the USSR, Patriarch of the Kazakh choral school Anatoly molodov, she seeks to continue the best traditions of her Teacher in her creative activity. Today, the Chamber choir under the direction of Gulmira Kuttybadamova has in its repertoire works of national and foreign music from folk songs and miniatures to cycles and major vocal and symphonic genres-oratorios, cantatas.

Gulmira Kuttybadamova approaches the preparation of each program with great responsibility, trying to introduce rarely heard choral works. We can say that the concert programs of the Chamber choir are a special dramaturgy of the entire concert, where the compositions are assembled into a single harmonic whole at the Beck of the conductor's hands.

The dominant program of the Chamber choir is domestic choral music, presented in such concerts as "Palette of consonances of the XX century", "Modern choral music of Kazakhstan", "Melodies of the great steppe", "Choral classics of modernity", "Aybozym", "Zhanymdy terbetken Auen", " borderless chant...", " Uly Dala zhangyrygy...", "I had a chance to drink from a spring...", "Mangilik Mura", "Heritage of great akyns and singers of the Steppe" , etc.

In the performance of young artists of the choir, traditional folk songs and compositions of the masters of the composition school of Kazakhstan acquire a different sound, close and understandable to the listener thanks to a new artistic reading. The audience of the evening had the opportunity not only to appreciate the creative imagination of composers of the XX-XXI centuries, who sought to convey the beauty of national music in the timbre and harmonic richness of a multi-voiced group, but also to hear a special singing style that is necessary when performing works related to folk origins.

Another creative component of the group is participation in large-scale concert productions of the Philharmonic's operas. "Alpamys" by Yerkegali rakhmadiev," Altyn taular "by Nurgisa Tlendiev, "Kambak Shal" by Zholdybai Dastenov, "Tales of Hoffman" by Jacques Offenbach and other operas became milestones for the young group.

Many reference samples of sacred music and cantata-oratorical genre were performed by the Chamber choir in Astana for the first time. "Christmas oratorio" by Johann Sebastian Bach, "Gloria" by Antonio Vivaldi, "Stabat Mater" by Giovanni Pergolesi, "Litania" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, "Stabat Mater" by Giuseppe Verdi, "Yunus Emre" by Ahmed Adnan saigun, "Bells" and "spring" by Sergei Rachmaninoff, "John of Damascus" by Sergei Taneyev, "Misa Criolla" and "Navidad Ariel Ramirez's Nuestra and German Requiem became a great musical gift for the sophisticated Metropolitan audience.

The unique creative appearance of the Chamber choir complements the performance of the best examples of pop and jazz music in the programs "Eternal melodies of love", "Jazz Flowers", "Brodwei Bound", "History of soul", " what do men sing about?", "Magic moments", etc.

Many well-known domestic and foreign performers and groups cooperate with the choir: Kapash Kulysheva, Nurzhamal Usenbayeva, Dina Khamzina, Azamat Zheltyrguzov, Aizada Kaponova, Amikaela Gaston, nella Salsa, Life Band "Archive", Ambrogio Sparanya Popolare Italiano orchestra, Symphony orchestra of the Karaganda concert Association named after K. Bayzhanov, etc.

To preserve the best traditions of musical culture, the Chamber choir cooperates with leading conductors of Kazakhstan and foreign countries: honored worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Dautov, winner of the all-Russian competition of conductors Peter Gribanov, Gabor Hollerung, and others.

The chamber choir is a welcome guest at international competitions and festivals. Victories: 2 gold medals "World Choir Games" (Latvia, Riga, 2014), the Grand Prix of the XVII international festival of creative youth "Shabyt" (Kazakhstan, Astana, 2014), participation In the international choral festival "Budapest International Choral Celebration" (Hungary, Budapest, 2015), the Grand Prix at the International festival "The Heart Of Chorus-2019" (China, 2019) testify to the unconditional professionalism and skill of the team. It was this Metropolitan choir that was entrusted with the opening of a major International festival "Astana-voice of the world" with the participation of more than 500 people from 25 countries. Choral compositions are perfectly felt by the artists, which is emphasized by different construction drawings or interesting gestures: the chorus of the Moscow Philharmonic should not only be heard, but also seen!

Purity of intonation, the finest sound amplitude, vocal skill and technical freedom-all these qualities are inherent in the Chamber choir Of the state academic Philharmonic of the mayor's office of Nur-Sultan.  "Liter" writes: "the rich and diverse repertoire, 80% of which consists of works by Kazakh authors and composers, and the talented and young composition of the group, made it Famous for it (the Chamber choir)."

The choral group, consisting of young talented singers, lives a fruitful creative life, opening new facets of their huge creative potential to the listener year after year. High performing culture puts the Chamber choir on a par with the leading choral groups in Kazakhstan.
