State string Quartet named after G. Zhubanova

The history of the state string Quartet named after G. Zhubanova dates back to 1988, when a group of like-minded people was organized within the walls of the Republican Kazakh specialized music boarding school for gifted children named after A. K. Zhubanov. Among the first musicians we Mintaev, who later became the longtime artistic Director of the Quartet. Gaziza Zhubanova herself, a Kazakh composer and people's artist of the USSR, took care of the members of the ensemble during her studies at school and then at the Kurmangazy Almaty state Conservatory, not without reason believing that the team will represent chamber art of Kazakhstan in the future.

In 1998, Tolegen Mukhamedzhanov, a composer, former Member of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, Deputy mayor of Astana, invited the Quartet to the Metropolitan Philharmonic.

Today, the state string Quartet named after G. Zhubanova is one of the best chamber groups in Kazakhstan, which is characterized by high performance skills, impeccable playing technique and a sense of ensemble.

The state string Quartet named after G. Zhubanova has repeatedly participated in many prestigious international competitions and festival programs, where it has been repeatedly awarded high awards and titles:

The geography of touring activities Of the state string Quartet named after G. Zhubanova is extremely wide: the group successfully performs in many cities of Kazakhstan and abroad. The ensemble also performs brilliantly in the best concert halls in Russia, France, England, Austria, Spain, Italy, Egypt, Turkey, Germany, Japan, the Principality of Liechtenstein, etc.

The Quartet's repertoire includes chamber music by Kazakh, Soviet, Russian and Western European composers. Many masterpieces of world musical art were performed by the ensemble in Kazakhstan for the first time ("Lyric Suite" by Alban Berg, 16 quartets by Ludwig van Beethoven, etc.).

A bright page of the Quartet's creative activity is the collaboration with musicians of the Borodin state Quartet of Russia: for more than 10 years, the ensemble has been giving joint concerts with the famous group in Astana, Almaty and Moscow.

The Quartet's albums are recorded by leading record companies: in 2000, the Kazakh state state string Quartet named after G. Zhubanova "Astana "(Russia," Russian seasons") was recorded, in 2005, the Kazakh state state string Quartet named after G. Zhubanova named after G. Zhubanova "(Spain), and in 2016-" Great Steps Melodies "(Switzerland," Divox"). The last album consists of two discs: the first one contains two string quartets by Gaziza Zhubanova, the second one contains kuis of great Kazakh kuishi processed by modern composers.

The creative activity of the team is highly appreciated by the state. In 1996, the ensemble won the state youth award "Daryn", and in 2000, the state string Quartet named after G. Zhubanova was awarded the Government award "Eren enbegi usin".

 

Aidar Toktaliev (first violin) - winner of the first prize of The international violin competition (Kazakhstan, 2001). He graduated from the Kurmangazy Almaty state Conservatory in 2009 (class of Professor N. M. Patrusheva). He has been a member of the state string Quartet named after G. Zhubanova since 2002.

Alexey Lebedev (second violin) - winner of The international violin competition (Kazakhstan, 2005), winner of the III prize of the all-Russian competition of violinists named after N. Erdenko (Russia, 1998), winner of the I prize of the Interregional competition of violinists (Russia, 2000), Grand Prix of the Republican competition of violinists (Russia, 1995). Fellow of the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation and Mari El (1998). Graduated from the Kazan state Conservatory named after N. Zhiganov in 2010 (class of Professor L. S. Aikaev). He has been a member of the state string Quartet named after G. Zhubanova since 2008.

Bekzat Sailaubayuly (viola) – winner of the Forty-fifth International competition of young performers (Kazakhstan, 2010), the Republican student competition in the specialty "Viola" (Kazakhstan, 2013). Graduated from the Kurmangazy Kazakh national Conservatory in 2015 (class of D. E. Mahmud). He has been a member of the state string Quartet named after G. Zhubanova since 2014.

We Mintaev (cello) – the winner of the all-Union cello competition (Krasnodar, 1988), first prize winner at the national cello competition (Kazakhstan, 1990), laureate of II prize at the International competition of a name of N. Khalmamedov (Turkmenistan, 1993), laureate of II prize at the International cellists ' competition (Moldova, 1995). Honored worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He graduated from the Almaty state Conservatory named after Kurmangazy in 1996 (class of people's artist, Professor Z. K. Basaeva). As a member Of the state string Quartet named after G.
